00:11 Hello, I'm Boban Dedović and this is episode eight of the "What we talk about when we talk about mind" podcast.

Boban Dedović Host

00:18 Today I have the pleasure of speaking with Anna Luisa Daigneault. She's a linguistic anthropologist, writer, and musician. She holds a Master's of Science degree in ethnolinguistics from the University of Montreal in Canada and she completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University. Currently, she's the program director for the Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages, which is a nonprofit research organization based in the US. She's conducted ethnolinguistic fieldwork throughout the Americas, and in the Pacific Islands, and has also contributed to the publication of dozens of online living dictionaries for endangered and under-reppresented languages around the world. Her works have also been published by publications such as Dominion, Global Voices, Sapiens, and she has presented at Ted-X Greenboro. She's also fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Today, we're going to talk about the Living Tongues Institute, the living dictionary technology that they create, and the different ways that the concept of mental language plays a role. I'm excited to discuss with her what she talks about when she talks about mind.
